An exceptional material for this chair of exception, clearly transgressive, the C09!

The material used:

The Carbon fibre is a material being composed of extremely fine fibres, between 5 and 15 microns diameter, and made up mainly of carbon atoms. The carbon fibres are characterized by their weak density, their strength raised to traction and compression, their flexibility, their good conductibilities electric and thermal, their behaviour in temperature.

The A380 Airbus would never have flown if it had not profited from the lightening and the rigidity of many carbon fibre elements. The Carbon fibre is also used for the vehicles with high efficiencies and auto industry; the aircraft industry and space ; sports equipment such of the sporting arcs and arrows; tennis rackets, the windsurfing wishbones ; the executives of the bicycles of competition on roads and bicycle any ground, the sailplanes, the sailing ships of competition… this is a long list!

"There is some feeling of revolt when you choose to be a designer, to change things it is necessary to be in dissension with what exists. It is necessary to have reasons to change this world.
I observe, I scan, my curiosity analyzes what surrounds me, then I seek, I discover materials, techniques, I learn, I try to apply new solutions of production to my ideas, my will of changes.
I work a lot with composite materials, they leave me an almost limitless creative freedom.
Other new materials like Corian® which one can work at will, is located halfway between primary materials - steel, wood - and tertiary materials - the composites. The touch, transparency, surface qualities give to creations a kind of new luxury, the kind that seduces the first sense of approach of an object: sight and touch
I have a project of architecture using this material, it will be a first in Belgium.
